I see a box in the center, which I suspect to be from the metal inset (tracing shapes) work in his classroom. The he just kind of went crazy.

He was totally in love with his house when he brought it home. He cut a flap for the door, and even cut a tiny notch for the door handle. He also made a little face and cut it out, and cut a shape out of a piece of paper he colored.

It’s not so easy to tell, but this is a cut-out. There’s also a hole cut into the door, and he had a key for it, too (it was the same piece of paper he cut out from the door) with a hole punched in it and a piece of string through it. The door opens as well. He was very satisfied with his house and very happy to show it to me and explain the features.
