C, December — December, 2007

More prewriting shapes, and a funny little box on the side. I think this one should be rotated to the left.

C, December — December, 2007

I liked the details of this one, with smaller patches of color and more pre-writing scribbles (in the center).

Ruby at Treklang — December, 2007

We were given these pictures at the end of the year last year. I really appreciated that they shared these pictures with us.

Bottling Day — December 2, 2007

Ethan was kind enough to come over and help us bottle up the Hoppy Pale Ale, and Johannes stopped by a little while later to help Chris make the super-macro lens. It was a nice day, the kids had fun playing with the guys and Chris had fun playing with the camera.

Mega Macro!!! — December 2, 2007

Chris and Johannes made this crazy contraption out of a Pringles can (no I’m not kidding), a spare lens cap (or something like that), and some black felt. It’s the ultimate macro lens!

Just the little Gor — Dec 7, 2007 at 4:03 pm

Ruby has a hard time saying “girl” so she calls herself a little “gor” — pronounced just like Al Gore. :)

Julebord! — December 7, 2007

Last year’s julebord actually… there were a ton of pictures that Chris took with his then-newly-acquired camera, he shared them with the Opera folks last year. I only recently shaved them down to the known and more interesting.

Welcome Home, Auntie Lauren! — December 8, 2007

Lauren had to leave Oslo because of visa issues, and now she’s back on a regular tourist visa trying to work up something more permanent. We sure are glad to have her back. She brought back some surprises for the kids, including a blow-up hot dog. I don’t really know how to say thank you for that …

Alf Eivind’s Chocolate Factory — December 9, 2007

A friend of ours had a birthday party with the “chocolate factory” theme. Imagine about 10 3 year olds in a room with a big pot of chocolate. Fun!

Mega Macro, take 2 — December 10-11, 2007

Last time was mostly experimentation and Chris took pictures of whatever was at hand. This time Johannes brought over some things to view through the mega-power macro lens.
