C chatting in Norwegian — Jun 1, 2007 at 7:37 pm |
I heard C chatting to himself in Norwegian in the potty (yes, I took a movie of him on the potty — but mostly it’s just the door to the bathroom because I didn’t want him to know I was filming him). I just had to get some of it recorded. You can also see/hear it on youtube. As far as I can tell, he says “I did gluing” and then part of a song they sing when they go home, and then he says “one time. two times or three times?” and then a part from another song where they pat their bellies, and then I think maybe he says “I’m not going to pick it up, I’m not going to glue it.” But I’m not sure about that last part! He’s also holding the birthday crown he got at school.

C’s Banana Antics — Jun 2, 2007 at 12:38 pm |
We were out and about, and decided it was time for lunch, so we got a picnic at a grocery store and took a seat on some stairs. C bit his banana, and told me it was a mouth. I laughed and laughed and then took this movie. You can also see it on youtube. He told me later that one of the teachers at school does this to entertain the kids.

C’s Smoothie ’stache — Jun 3, 2007 at 5:49 pm |
C knows we think it’s funny when he has a smoothie moustache, and he usually asks me to take his picture. I did it just to humor him this time, but when I saw the picture it just occurred to me… he looks so old!

Ruby on the Balcony — Jun 8, 2007 at 2:55 pm |
No pictures of Chris this week, or me, but here’s C. It’s been really really hot here, so I threw a bunch of pillows and blankets on the balcony and it’s been our new home. Our all-covering sun shade, combined with that stripey privacy-guard, means the kids are fairly penned in. About the most they can throw off are blocks, puzzle pieces, and underwear (yes, they did), but not themselves (or each other). We’ve been eating outside and doing just about everything we can outside. Tuesday Chris stayed home until after lunch because of the late phone meeting. It was nice to spend some relaxed morning time with him and Ruby. Wednesday saw another game night, this time Carcasonne and Fist of Dragon Stones. C’s school has been almost exclusively outside for like 2 weeks now. We worried that he was getting too much sun and kept him home Thursday and Friday. He’s also overheating because he has an issue with short sleeved shirts and is still insisting on wearing his long sleeve winter shirts. I’ve been doing lots of knitting. This week also marked the beginning of the Healthy Living Lifestyle Change, at Chris’s suggestion (!). We propose to drink less beer and coffee, less fatty foods, and healthier evening snacks. We’ll see!
