C found the camera, turned it on, and took a picture. Not spectacular pictures, but milestones nonetheless. And important reminders. He can always do the thing you think he can’t quite do yet.

We found the Moses basket to be a very convenient portable bed for Ruby. I could put it anywhere so she could sleep near to us, but still be undisturbed.

C had a lesson with the truck language cards. He put the cards away, then came back to roll the rug!

Ruby had her first bath. There was water. It was great.

We put Ruby on the potty right away, after learning about “Elimination Communication” (an early toilet-learning system). We were never 100% with it, so she still used diapers until she was about 1 year old, and then undies with a little extra padding after that. She still had some accidents until she was about 18 months old. But, hey, that’s not bad!

A lot of generous friends gave Ruby welcome gifts, and I dressed her up in them to show them off. So cute!
