Our last babysitting night for Elijah and Cassidy. We were so tired. Babysitting was gaudium et utilis while is lasted, but we were glad when my advancing pregnancy gave us a change to “retire.”

Mercedes and Kim threw a baby shower for me. It was so kind and thoughtful of Mercedes to throw the shower for us; what a party! What a cheesecake! (thanks, Ben!).

Polar Bears — April 19, 2003 |

|
We went to the zoo with the family of a man Chris met, who runs a MUD called Tempora Heroica. We enjoyed playing it for a while, but I found it stressful because it was too easy to get in way over your hear and too hard to fight your way out of just about any situation. Anyway, we enjoyed visiting the polar bears, the bats and the elephants particularly. And of course the naked mole rats.

Sally Hess gave us this baby sling and the directions weren’t entirely clear, so we decided to try it out on the cats. Cats are about baby-size, aren’t they?
