What a lovely table! And thanks to Grandma Weeks, we have many lovely thanksgiving-themed decorations, including the pilgrims-indians-and-turkeys table cloth, on which the turkeys are a big as the pilgrims and the indians. That would be quite a thanksgiving feast!

Ruby is enjoying her first thanksgiving; she loved the mashed potatoes and candied yams.

An unfortunately aimed self-timer shot. Chris was supposed to be in this one, and C is just barely peaking up over the table!

The pies just came out of the oven; both are apple. One of them has a Norwegian flag design (which really just ended up looking like a cross) and the other has the perennial pie joke: π.

Tim and Rebekah (lovingly referred to as “Kimbekah” by C) joined us for thanksgiving this year. Chris and Tim took the day off, even though Opera didn’t take the holiday (thanksgiving not being a holiday here). We split the cooking duties between the two families. The Altmans found a turkey and cranberry sauce, and Rebekah made her family’s traditional corn pudding. They also made a nice little pumpkin pie from one of the last cans of pumkpin pie filling to be found in Oslo (a hot commodity among the ex-pat crowd these days). Alan and Kripanjali stopped by after work (though we didn’t get a picture of Krips!)
